Oil Spill at OBIAFU 26L FLOWLINE OBIAFU FIELD OMOKU ONELGA RIVERS STATE

• The Joint Investigation Team visually observed that the suspected incident point was tied with a cloth and a zinc was installed underneath leading to an excavated pit of 0.008m in depth by unknown person. After excavation and removal of the cloth, a 2mm drill hole was seen on the flow line at 6 o’clock position. • The condensate noticed at the pit was 1.11barrels. Repairs was ongoing as at the time the JIV was concluded. • The impacted area was immediately mopped up. • The JIV was conclusive with no disruption at the time of investigation
