Oil Spill at Ubit PP / Eku B / OML 67

: Surfer boat (Silver Line 3) reported a sheen around Eku B wellhead platform (WHP). The sheen was traced to oily water overflowing from a drip pan beneath the export pipeline shutdown valve (SDV). The drip pan, which contained residual oil, was suspected to have filled up due to recent heavy downpours. Accumulated rainwater displaced the residual oil, leading to intermittent drips to sea. No hydrocarbon leak was observed directly from the SDV. Platform was previously shut-in and secured.
