The JIT observed that there was an attempt by unknown persons to sabotage the 24” KM 32/33 NORTHERN OPTION PIPELINE (NOPL) through the installation of 1” pipe attached to the facility at 12 O'clock position for theft. Gas leak emanated from failed welded points at the base of the 1" pipe attached to the line. No impact was observed on surrounding vegetation by the incident as at time of JIV.
