i. The incident point as shown to the JIT was a manifold without any connection to the storage facility as the ruptured hose was removed before the visit. ii. Five (5nos) barrels of crude oil recovered before the visit was sighted stored in GP Tank. iii. There was no free phase oil on the platform. iv. The company said they dismounted the ruptured hose because they wanted to protect the environment. v. The river boom was poorly mounted as there were loose ends. Due to the tidal nature of the water body the booming was not effective. vi. There are plumes of heavy impact of crude seen within the proximity of the export terminal. vii. The spill impacted mangroves and shorelines within and around the coastal communities.
