Oil Spill at 18’’ EOC-OGODA Pipeline at Mgbede

The Team assessed the spill area; found the soil around the spill point disturbed (see figure 1). Upon mechanical excavation of the soil and exposure of the line, the team observed: • 1’’ valve was installed illegally on a previous coned point by unknown persons for the purpose of oil theft (see figure 1).
