Oil Spill at KM 18.2 OBAGI-RUMUEKPE CRUDE OIL EXPORT LINE (12'' PIPELINE)

• There was a drilled hole of 25mm diameter on the pipeline at 12 O’clock position by unknown persons. This is attributed to third party interference (sabotage/vandalism activity). • The spill point was very close to a previous point visited about a week ago which a Representative of the Agency participated in the JIV. The distance between both is just 0.5m , • There was still crude oil leak from the spill point even though the line has been shut in and it was recovered at the time of exposing the pipeline. • Total E&P ROW was impacted although no oil stain since the area was burnt by fire instigated by the vandals. . There was also fire outbreak the previous day before JIV.
