• There was a locally fabricated clamp with 1.5’’ valve connected to an elbow pipe; installed around the Spill point at 12 O’clock position by unknown persons on the pipeline at 12 O’clock position by unknown persons. This is attributed to third party interference (theft activity). • There was a gush of crude oil from the leak point when the Repairs Team attempted to plug the exposed hole as a result of back flow pressure in the line having shut in the line. • SPDC’S ROW and surrounding vegetation were impacted.
