Oil Spill at 18’’ ASSA-RUMUEKPE TRUNKLINE AT OMUDIOGA RIVERS STATE

• The surroundings and soil around the incident point was impacted and trenches were used to curtail any spread of crude. • The Joint Investigation Team visually observed that the 5th bolt on the 18x54’’ Clamp was tampered with by unknown persons. • A 55mm clearance between the bolt and the clamp base was also noticed. • The impacted area was within the company’s right of way. • The JIV was conclusive with no disruption at the time of investigation
